For years, our country has been living under the ideology that cops are bad, whites are racist, we can reverse the direction of the climate, all illegal immigrants are innocent people, islamophobia is unprecedented, and there’s more than one gender. Now I have a question for all of you who support this way of thinking: how do any of these preachings make any sense to a normal human being? Let’s go through each one by one, shall we?

“Cops are bad.” Of course there are a few bad apples, but that’s true of any profession. I bet you won’t be calling them racist pigs when your friend gets shot and needs help catching the criminal, or when you need help shooting down a burglar in your home since you don’t believe in guns.

“Whites are racist.” Again, some may still be, but as a whole, whites are as accepting of blacks as they are with any other nationality. And even if they are racist, so what? Does that mean you can’t go on with your life? Since when do the opinions of others matter so much that you simply can’t do anything anymore because someone’s way of thinking hurt your feelings? Also, it’s such a scam to prey on the feelings of those typically victimized to racism because there’s no factual basis for that statement.

“We can reverse the direction of climate change.” I’m all for recycling and taking care of our planet, but if anyone thinks that more governmental regulation can change the direction of climate is in serious denial. Especially since the politicians they worship all fly jets and live in mansions that require fossil fuels to keep them running, but that’s none of my business.

“All illegal immigrants are innocent people.” I understand that these people want a better life for their families, but I’m sorry, that’s not our problem. We have enough homeless and starving people in our own country, so why welcome more? Would Mexico or Canada ever have sanctuary cities for our poor people? Of course not, so why are we the exception? Obviously the answer is because these liberal politicians want to remain in power, so they figure if they come across as the magnanimous governor who cares about the poor, again, they’re in serious denial.

“Islamophobia is unprecedented.” Again, I know not all Muslims are bad and some are peaceful, but if you take a look at all of the major bombings and murders we’ve had under President Obama, there certainly is precedence that supports the majority of Americans thesis of their discontent with the ideology of Islam.

“There’s more than one gender.” Sorry to burst your bubble, but God created all people with either XX or XY chromasomes, so there’s no blending or fluidity of genders. We’re all born either boys or girls, and that’s that.

Im certainly hoping this is a really bad phase we’re going through. I hope that in ten years we’ll look back on this time and can’t believe how ignorant some Americans were. A lot of it is still rampant since nothing changes over night, but I really wish these people would give our new president a chance. If four years goes by and you’re still not happy with him, then elect a new guy, but threatening his life doesn’t help anybody.

I’m generally happy with the direction of our country since we were smart enough to elect President Trump and slowly come back to where we were, but there has to come a point where we start looking at ourselves and say, “Enough.”

  1. Well put honey!
And the fact that I am your boyfriend aside, I am white and a conservative Republican. And I am also not racist, I know plenty of good cops in my own city that care about the community and support it, all from different backgrounds and cultures much like the people they serve.
I am open to other religions and cultures, but bringing the whole world (and their problems) into our country is not in our best interest…Rebuilding our country and economy should be the first priority. Other countries can take care of themselves and have for years. We can still be diplomatic with other countries, but think of this way people: we live in our homes and our neighbors live in theirs. But do we clean each other’s homes and bring everyone into our beds? No! We are polite to each other, help each other when needed, but we can’t take on everyone else’s needs when we have our own to fulfill.
People may say they are transgender or what they may, but they were only made two ways in the first place: man or woman. And any scientist worth their profession can prove that biologically. What we identify with in our head does not disprove what we really are underneath the skin.
Let’s get real and practical people! The truth is coming back!

  2. I thought this was well put! (And I don’t mean to be rude in any way but it’s chromosomes not chromasomes) Personally, I think people can love whoever they want to love, and whether you want to be more masculine/feminine than what society sees as “normal” is fine. Or even switching genders! That’s perfectly ok to me because if it makes someone more comfortable/happy in their own skin more power to ’em! like you said at the end of the day your gender is either male/female. I think because in today’s world sexualities are kind of morphing and becoming more fluid and relaxed, people often mix gender into there because they come from a similar branch. Maybe its also because calling yourself a bunch of things to describe Your gender makes you feel special and unique? I’m not quite sure but I think that whole gender identity is silly. You can be male and like pink or stuff “meant” for women and still be male! Idk I probably repeated myself several times but I really enjoy your blog posts especially this one!

    1. Thank you for your input! I’m not saying males cannot like pink stuff or females can’t enjoy hunting or other “manly” things. But, we were all born with certain genetic material whether we like it or not. Just because a male prefers feminine topics doesn’t make him female. That’s just his preference. What I also found interesting is yesterday I heard people are now calling themselves “trans-race,” and can identify as a different race if they so choose. So I can wake up tomorrow and say I identify as an Asian, and even an Asian male for that matter. What is happening? This whole “gender/race-fluidity” is simply ridiculous and doesn’t address actual issues that are perpetuated upon men and women, and race relations for that matter. Again, if women want their hair cut short and wear pants, they can identify any way they wish, but they’re still female. And by the way, I find it interesting that women who are self-proclaimed feminists dress more and more like a man. And lesbian couples usually have one portrayed as the man, and the other is extremely female. If she’s attracted to the male characteristics, why not be with an ACTUAL male?? I know this isn’t the case for all lesbian couples, but that’s just my observation. I just feel this whole gender topic has been blown way out of proportion, and has received a lot more attention than it deserves.

Long story short, why can’t we all just get along?? Lol

  3. I agree that the entirety of the white population should not be considered racist, but there is a point at which there is legitimate pain that is being caused by white individuals to minorities. Racism from white individuals can absolutely manifest, and I truly believe that if a person is racist, yes, it should absolutely be changed and that they are not entitled to their opinion of racism. If it is hurting others, it should be (at the very least) examined, not simply allowed as an opinion. In terms of illegal immigrants coming into the United States, yes, there are always problems, but there are problems with domestic people in our country as well who hurt deeply and long for a better life. The desperation of others is something intrinsically tied to our empathetic nature, which I personally believe is ours to act on. Now, I’m not saying to let them all come, but that there should be an increase in empathy when looking at illegal immigrants. I am a friend to some of these beautiful, scared, and hurting people who desperately are looking for a chance. As a whole, I enjoy and respect the ways in which you clearly state your polical opinions, but I did want to respond to a few. And know that I love you to pieces!

    1. Hey girl! Of course racism has hurt people in the past, but regardless if we agree with those people or not, it’s still their opinion. That’s the beauty of the First Ammendment. I may not agree with what you say, but I’ll defend your right to say it. In regards to illegal immigrants, if we were to go to any other country and demand they cater to our way of life and give us handouts, we would be laughed at and kicked out. It’s not a matter of having empathy for these people, it’s enforcing the rule of law. If they’re not here legally, we don’t have any obligation to take care of them. We have enough homeless and starving children that are citizens and need our tender, loving care, so we need to take care of our own first before we bring in others. Not only that, we don’t have the money to take care of illegal immigrants! Let’s make sure we have money before we spend it 🙂 Love you! ❤
